In Xbox Madden 10, Things Your Opponents, and Stuff your Pockets with His Money

If learning about all the new stuff still hasn't made you excited about Xbox Madden 10, then maybe a visit to video gaming's not-so-distant past can put things into perspective. On one hand, it's probably not too cool to say Xbox Madden 10 is great, just because it stands out next to crap from 30 years ago. But it helps to see how much progress has been made in football video games, by taking a glance at the earliest video games and comparing them to Xbox Madden 10. From day one, football video games were what the original hardcore gamers wanted, back when the video game consoles were taking their first "baby steps" in the world. Only problem was, the gamers' ideas on what a great football video game should be, versus the reality of the video game consoles' capabilities, made for a shaky compromise. The buzzword for this one was "all the excitement" of the real thing, as the game publishers tried to sell their captive audience on this one. The characters on the gridiron are more suited to a sci-fi shooter than a football video game. Just needed to get that one off my chest. And if the picture has you cringing, you can only imagine what the gameplay is like. From a technological standpoint, things were so basic, that multiple players moving at once meant that the only thing extreme about this game was the flickering of the players. Audio was as awful as the video. Another disappointment - the screen didn't (or just couldn't) scroll. However, another participant in video game consoles entered the fray, and their football video game scored a touchdown. They definitely took the ball and ran with this one, giving gamers better gameplay, visuals, and sound. A step in the right direction, but work needed to be done still.

While it did tantalize the video game world with its improvements, it was still only a slight move in the right direction. It would take a few more years before anything like that took place. The next level in football video games had been reached, and still we're seeing a following for this one. For quite a while, this was considered the greatest football video game by the video game world.

Why this went supernova isn't hard to figure out - with actual offensive and defensive strategies, they brought in a new level of realism. It was an amazing evolution in football video games, and this one was really a major turning point. Today, there's even a new incarnation of the game, and with that is a renewed reverence for it. That being said, as much as everyone digs that one, Xbox Madden 10 is in an entirely different league. With the great strides in gaming, football video games have reached a level worthy of the fans. Guess it's a waste of time to do too much putting down of the other, less sophisticated football video games. We think you understand. They may have been flawed, but we needed those older games as a "springboard" to what we have today. Of course, Xbox Madden 10 has really kicked this one over the goal posts, which has the video game world pretty pleased. The fans aren't the only ones raving about Xbox Madden 10 - the critics have said their piece, and they're into it. "Realistic and enjoyable" are comments you'll see during most Xbox Madden 10 reviews. Xbox Madden 10 is another monster hit for EA Sports, though we think you could predict that one. Don't let the naysayers shape your opinion - Xbox Madden 10 is a game for the ages. As great as Xbox sports video games offerings are, Xbox Madden 10 is at the top of the pack. Most of the gaming world agrees that this is the new standard by which the rest shall be judged. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money. Now, Xbox Madden 10 fanatics can throw down the gauntlet and play video games for money. When you've conquered the Xbox Madden 10 playing field, you'll be conquering your rivals - and snagging their cash.
